There is biblical verse that states the tongue is an unruly weapon. I think that is goes beyond the comments we make to people. Often, we have heard that words have power, and the things we say to people can be hurtful. I wonder where that actually stems from. Is it a reflection of how we feel about ourselves or our circumstances that cause us to lash out at others. I dont think its only the words we use towards others, but also the things we say to ourselves about ourselves. Again, another biblical verse that says what a man think in his heart so is he. Although we need to be cautious about what we say to others , we need to be just a cautious about what we say to ourselves. You are what you eat and you are or become what you believe and say about yourself…clear your home of all weapons. If you choose not to the determine how you benefit from holding onto it…just a thought.
