Put the Goalie Back in the Net

Have you had times in your life where everything seems dark and purposeless? That despite all your efforts you see no fruit despite the fact that you have tended to your garden. I’m wondering what that experience means. If in some way its that thoughts /emotions have overthrown what we know as true. Or is the casting of our net to shallow? There has been much talk about consciousness and being aware of what seeps into the mind. That last two years has been very challenging in this area as we are constantly reminded of statistics of the ill and the ones who have died. If not careful it can drain you not only physically, but emotionally and spiritually. There is a scripture to remind us of this. Romans 12:2 ” Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” When we look at the world we overloaded with images of what is wrong. So take the time even if sitting on a park bench to take note of all the wonders in nature. The birds soar, the cats roam, and the flowers are enjoying the sun. Do they look stressed or are they enjoying what has been provided for them? Can we not do better than the birds? What I’m saying is this don’t allow a thought to overrule you…you could be wrong. Stand guard of what seeps through into your mind it is a battlefield. Sometimes you just need to put the goalie back in the net. Refuse to sink…..better days are ahead keep the faith. Have a blessed day!!!

  1. Sometimes we need a mental break from the cares of this life. A time to clean the cobwebs in our lives.
